Pokémon Football Manager Database - Alpha
Created by @PokemonManager on Twitter

Many thanks for downloading this Alpha database. There may be many imperfections at this stage, it was built as a hobby but with limited time available I have not been able to test it extensively.
I would appreciate it if you could report any issues back to me on Twitter.

This is an FM21 database. There will not be an FM22 database. Future update will be for FM23.
The database is based in South Korea not Japan(long story!).

Important information & database details.

Initial Setup
-Move the downloaded game file named "The Kanto League" to your "games" folder: Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/games
-If you have a graphics folder, extract the three graphic sub folders into Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021/graphics.
-If you do not already have a graphics folder, then extract the whole graphics folder to Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2021
-Open Football Manager 2021 > Load Game > Select the The Kanto League.
-If badges/facepacks aren't visable - open preferences, select "Advanced", using the dropdown option to the right select "Interface".
Half way down the page under the purple heading "Skin", make sure that "Reload skin when confirming changes in preferences" is the ONLY box ticked. Confirm the changes.
-Add your manager and select the club you want to manage.
-The nation of Ukraine is also pre-loaded, you can ignore this for now, explained further below.

Concept & Structure
-The Kanto League - 8 teams - play each other 4 times. The winner wins the league title and qualifies for the Indigo League.
-Aim of the game is to beat Team Rocket who has Mewtwo. Unless you're the type that likes to play as PSG, don't play as Team Rocket.
-You can only sign South Korean players(Pokémon). At the start of the game there are 159 players(8 low level duplicates to pad out teams). When searching for players, filter by nation South Korea.
-Some teams are pre-populated with Pokemon, some more so than others. The transfer window in the 1st season ends in late October. From every season after that, it ends in late August. There is a January transfer window each season.
-The Indigo League is basically the Elite 4 from the Gen 1 Pokemon games and is the most prestigious comptetiotn you can win(200/200 reputation).
-The Elite 4 teams and their Pokemon are Japaneese. You can not sign their players, and they can not sign yours. The Pokemon on each Elite 4 team will not leave their clubs until they retire.
-There is a domestic Kanto Cup, 2 legged KO rounds until the final.
-There is no bosman rulling i.e. players can't leave on a free unless released by the club. Players out of contract will enter into rolling 1 month contracts until sold or sign a new deal.
This was to stop players retiring early who weren't signed by new clubs. It also stopped good players like the starter Pokemon from leaving Pewter City too early.

Other
-I tried my best to stop regens from generating, the effectiveness of this changes from save to save. Sometimes none appear, sometimes 1-10 appear per season. They should be low level & should not impact the Kanto Teams unless they have a player shortage.
-If you have the In-Game Editor, simply change the regen nationality to Ukraine so that Kanto Teams can no longer sign them , they will then stop appearing in your player search.
-Due to the lack of players available, some teams may not build a full squad and might have greyed out fake players.
-I input a max squad size 22 to try stop this from happening but some clubs may still hoard players. If you have the In-Game Editor & see this situation unfold, maybe transfer a player or two to balance the squads.
-If you see a player has been a free agent for about a year, try assign them to a club that needs it with the editor (or sign them yourself) so that they don't retire early.

Staff
-Every team has the essential staff needed and with maxed out stats. This was done so that all focus can be kept on the Pokemon and matches.
-To keep the game fair, don't sign other teams maxed out super staff(unless they take yours).
-Filler staff were also created to pad out teams, several duplicates. Attributes are essentially random with no reason behind them because there is no method to accurately assign those attributes, nor did I deem it important so dont come at me please.

Have fun - please post your progress and @ me on Twitter so I can see how you're doing.
